CD Release Party Friday

It's here....it's finally here!

Just finished up a ROCKIN' Rehearsal with the band and can not wait for the CD release party on Friday at Antone's. It's supposed to maybe snow tomorrow also...What started off as the Monday Blues this morning has quickly turned into something fanatic.

Schedules and such

WOW...it's been a while since we've updated this thing. There are just so many online portals we are using these days it's hard to keep track of.

So....We are singing and photographing and just truckin' along here in Austin,Tx. I (Amy) am apparently allergic to CEDAR and have been sneezing, and sniffing, and itching since XMAS and the doc told me that the worst is probably yet to come....so that's comforting.

We've got some BIG shows coming up with the release of our debut album (EP) so hopefully you can make it out to them!!!

Proud of our work thus far

So really I just wanted to blog about our other blog....twintyphotography.blogspot.com.

We just shot newborn pics, which I think are some of the best ones April has done yet, of our friends Zach and Julie's little girl Avery. Check 'em out.

Also, we are playing tonight at Poodie's Hilltop in Spicewood,Tx for an "audition" show to hopefully book some shows out there.

Heading to Grapevine Saturday to play at the Grapevine Opry, which we were nominated for the Female Horizon Award this year for their 2009 Entertainment Awards. We will find out next weekend who wins:)

We are back on track with studio stuff also....Lead guitar went in last night to lay down some tracks. We have decided to release only 5 or 6 of the original 10 songs that we started to record at this time.... and save some for later:) Be checking itunes for new tunes soon. April Amy

BIRTHDAY show

We had our BIRTHDAY show @ the Tiniest Bar in Texas and had such a WONDERFUL turnout. People literally came from miles around to see the show.

Then we headed down to the FRIO to celebrate with our friends, "even though the river was a record low....we headed on down to float the Frio"

The forecast calls for a busy year

So, I just recently started my job at the Austin American-Statesman placing ads in the Advertising department. My official title is Multi-media Coordinator...I know I know....fancy:)

April and I have been really busy editing photos and taking them, which we are not complaining...we are so excited that the photography thing is doing so well, and also our band is starting to book some more shows. We don't have anymore shows this month but just booked one here in Austin on Saturday the 15th of August at 8pm if you are interested.

We are booking up fast for photoshoots the rest of the year so if you're thinking about doing one you better make it quick:) We will of course be doing our Christmas sessions probably around October. Check the blog www.twintyphotography.blogspot.com

Let's see...what else??? It's been like 105 degrees and we were doing bootcamp right in the heat of it all but are yet to see where we're supposed to be shedding the pounds. We are due to go back into the studio the end of this month....can you believe it's almost August? Just wanted to give a little heads up on what we've been doing. I will be back soon to update on stuff we've done and pics from our shows.

Grapevine Opry

Hey hey hey.....

We have been asked to come and play at the Grapevine Opry June 20th. Not sure on times yet but thought we'd give a heads up. It's like a variety show so we'll actually sing about 3 or so songs with their House Band and then there will be a bunch of other acts in addition...

So, we've been in the studio recording and are now waiting to go back in. We've done the rough tracks and need to get with our producer to fine tune the things we want....and in the meantime we're practicing with "OUR BAND:) " so that we can start playing shows by mid- June. So, stay tuned because we're hoping to be booking shows outside of Austin.

WE're headed to the FRIO this weekend for Memorial Weekend....super excited about that. It's been too long.
